I found this on MySpace

Ok, I found this on myspace. Just read it you’ll be glad.

A father passing by his son’s bedroom was astonished to see that his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up.

Then he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was addressed to “Dad.” With the worst premonition he opened the envelope with trembling hands and read the letter.

Dear Dad:

It is with great regret and sorrow that I’m writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Mom and you. I have been finding real passion with Stacy and she is so nice. But I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercings, tattoos, tight motorcycle clothes and the fact that she is much older than I am. But it’s not only the passion…Dad she’s pregnant. Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children.

Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn’t really hurt anyone. We’ll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with the other people that live nearby for cocaine and ecstasy. In the meantime we will pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Stacy can get better. She deserves it. Don’t worry Dad. I’m 15 and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I’m sure that we will be back to visit so that you can get to know your grandchildren.

Love,
Your Son John

P.S. Dad, none of the above is true. I’m over at Tommy’s house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the report card that’s in my center desk drawer.

I love you.
Call me when it’s safe to come home.

Grenade AI

Ok, basically a long time ago I was reading an article on AI and I got inspired. So I threw and AI engine together. That was a long time ago, and now I’ve come back and worked on it some more and I decided to release it.

Lets start with a screen shot: (click to enlarge)
Grenade AI

Basically, you will throw grenades and then the AI act accordingly.
First, they may see the grenade or they may not see it. If one does, he will decide if he has a better chance of surviving by running out of the blast radius or by hiding behind a wall. At the same time he will shout (and warn) other AI that are in shouting distance. In the screenshot above, the AI where all the lines originate from was apparently the only one who saw the grenade land. All the green lines point to the people who heard him yell “Grenade!” and will now act accordingly (they will run or hid. They may also warn more AI they didn’t hear the first shout.). The black line indicates where the AI decided to hide and the blue line is the actual wall he’s hiding behind. Some times an AI may think it better to just run from the blast radius, in which case there would not be a line for that. Oh yes, and the circle is the blast radius.

Try throwing just one grenade at a time and then try throwing multiple. It’s interesting what they do. Feel free to modify and make it better. Please share if you do! It’s open source.

You can press ENTER to turn lines off and SPACE to restart/reset.
Download .gm6 (edditable)
Download .exe (If you don’t know which one to download download this one)

It don’t think it will work on any operating system other then Windows. You could try it though.

DVC out

Haha, I’m free and you are not :P

suckers

I finished my last final today. I’m thinking I did pretty good in German, I’ll update when I get my grades. In math I got an ‘A’ for sure. (polly a 98% or so. Really.)

EDIT:

Yes, turns out I got an ‘A’ in German. I haven’t gotten a math grade yes but I can tell you now it’s an ‘A’. My math teacher takes forever to grade our work so it’s not a surprise.

Finals are here

Study study! When it’s over I’ll be sure to throw parties all over. Here is what I’m sure to do over the summer:

  • take an online class -prolly
  • sleep
  • eat
  • go to Shasta
  • put together a new computer, and throw this 98 into a pit of LAVA
  • learn kung-foo
  • attack china
  • take their leader
  • become new evil leader
  • sleep

That pretty much sums it up.

And now that I think there are some past things I need to go over, class:

  • First, my appendix blew to *#*%
  • Went to doctor
  • Had infection, couldn’t get appendix removed. Got drain installed for draining access puss. Got antibiotics. Stayed in hospital for about five days.
  • Went home with drain
  • Went back, had drain removed
  • Missed like 2 weeks of school, had to drop English (meaning I don’t have to write every day)
  • Future: after school ends I will have surgary again to gut my appendix actually chopped off.

So now I’m back to normal. I’ll go back to get my appendix removed, but now i’m fine. The only reason it needs to be removed is because it might burst again.

And now I tear myself from my blog to study from final. *riiiiiiip*
